We went out to the farm at Boschkop to do Hayley and Riaan’s engagement session. Couples like these make a photographer’s job really easy! They just relaxed and had a whole lot of fun while we took photographs. Apart from the fun, we got some really different and fun shots in the barn and around the field where the Nguni cattle graze.
The time of day was also great. We spent the first while indoors doing some fun stuff in the barn and then went out as the sun was getting low.
Technically, the day was a great opportunity to use off camera flash. This one used a Canon 580 EX II with a SpeedlightPro softbox.

On the right – that long lens really seperates the subjects from the background. This one was taken in the rosemary field.
Thank you so much for the comment. I’m sorry you struggled to download the pics succesfully – I guess by your email address that you are in the UK which makes it more surprising. I will look at regenerating the site to reduce file sizes. Unfortunately this won’t happen before the weekend probably
